Thought you would enjoy looking at the pictures we snaped at the soup kitchen. What a great time we had. Props go out to Darla for leading a great team and Jeanie for working so hard in the kitchen cooking for 200 great friends that we get to serve a hot plate of food to. In addition, We were able to take several bags of clothing from Thriftique and add it to the donations that were brought in.  I want to thank everyone who contributed to the tremendous amout of coats, shoes, gloves and clothing we were able to give away. It’s such a blessing being able to UNITE the kingdom of Heaven here on earth even for just a few hours… What a  joy filled time was had by all.

One quick story to share a snippet with you was when we had got to the end of the blanket and coat give awy  there was one really nice coat left but it was a small size I walked through the dining area to see if there was anyone small enough that would be able to make good use of the coat. A young man excitedly came up to me asking if he could try on the coat. I assisted him as he made quick work to put the coat on and it was an absolutly perfect fit. He smilled so big and happened to be in front of the food line where several of our voplunteers were standing and he looked at them and threw his hands up in the air in victory! Our volunteers cheered and clapped for him to share in his excitment. Smiles and laughter filled the room and for that moment we were all united witnessing the kingdom of heaven here at work. I love serving along with you asw together we make His name known.
